Hi! I am Sue Jackson, a Londoner, Blue Badge Guide and Freeman of the City of London who loves to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for my city and its history.

As a LONDON BLUE BADGE GUIDE, I lead walks and tours all around London, with a wide variety of themes.

I am a LECTURER, giving illustrated talks to a variety of audiences such the National Trust, decorative and fine arts societies (NADFAS), and historical societies.

A HISTORY graduate, I am a Fellow of the Huguenot Society of Great Britain. With a background also in ART and ART HISTORY, I lead visits to to many of London’s most important museums and art galleries.

On this page I summarise many of the different ways in which I communicate my passion, with further details available on linked pages. If you think I can help, please dive in and learn more!

Daily Telegraph 18 Feb 2006:“With the help not just of… the periwigged lecher himself, but also of Sue Jackson, a Blue Badge guide and expert on medieval and Restoration London, I worked out a circular walk taking in Pepys’s places of birth and of burial, not to mention sexual adventuring…”

London is a delight for walkers. At every turn, it reveals new facets of its fascinating history and character.

My walks cover all London and many themes. From the Square Mile to Kew Gardens; from darkest Victorian London to gardens of the City; from London’s pubs to the Huguenot silk weavers & immigrants’ London .

Why are London’s central areas so different from each other? I delight in drawing out the history and atmosphere of these areas, the characters who lived there and whose legacies live on.

Below you can see my walks schedule for the coming season. More details are available by clicking on the walk title. Visit my London Walks page for further details.
